The trout streams in Jackson County, North Carolina and surrounding areas including the Tuckasegee River, Cherokee Trophy Waters and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park host some of the best trout fishing spots in the Southeast. In most of these trout streams and rivers you can catch all three types of trout: brook trout, rainbow trout, and brown trout. The Little Tennessee also is a favorite for Small Mouth Bass and our mountain lakes are even inhabited by walleye and the occasional muskie.
